We are a family who loves Norwegian Forest Cats! You will find our kittens in Missouri and Wisconsin because we keep all of our cats as pets first and each cat has their own person! Yes, even our King roams free in the house!

When you adopt from ForestSpots Cattery you will receive a quality, healthy companion with a lifetime of support. All of our breeding cats are health and genetic tested to breed standards or beyond. We perform annual echocardiograms on all of our adults, prior to breeding, to screen for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). We provide a written contract and health guarantee and stand behind our program! All of our cats are family first!

My youngest daughter, Jenna, is autistic and she LOVES cats! We started with a Persian when she was 3 years old.  Jenna started researching cats at a young age and as "Kitty" was nearing the end of her life, Jenna first brought up the Norwegian Forest Cat and our journey began. Kitty lived a long life and adored Jenna; we lost her in 2014 when Jenna was 14. At that time, we were not able to find a Norwegian Forest Cat breeder and were not able to bring a kitten home. Jenna ended up falling in love with a little kitty with big blue eyes, and Eevee came to join us in January 2015. Eevee was sweet, beautiful and tiny. She even lived in the dorms with Jenna when she went off to college! All throughout this time Jenna and I continued to researched the Norwegian Forest Cats and looked for breeders. We talked about what our program would look like and what our objectives would be; we knew we would be a Norwegian Forest Cat breeder right from the start!

This brings us to Jenna and her 20's. She now lives in her own house, and decided it was time to add a Norwegian Forest Cat. We worked with Norsejenta Cattery in Northern MN and purchased our first breeding quality female, Norsejenta Starburst Unni (Unni). As Unni grew, and both cats lived with Jenna, I was missing having a cat at home. I sweet talked my husband into a beautiful black tortishelle female and Norsejenta Sylvibell of ForestSpots came home. Sylvi is the first to carry our cattery suffix. Beck Wood, Norsejenta Cattery, has become a wonderful freind and mentor; you will see more Norsejenta queens in our program.

Not able to help myself, I purchased another Norsejenta kitten; Sylvi's full but younger sister. Norsejenta Ahsoka of ForestSpots was a gift to my niece, Charlotte, for her 15the birthday. Now, inorder to keep things even, Auntie Pam had to also gift her nephew, Alex, a cat; so, along comes Forestdolls Waltzing With Mathilde. Would you believe me if I told you their mom was jealeous and wanted her own kitten? Well my sister, Jessica, then added Norsejenta Nala of Forest Spots into her home. Each person needed a kitty so it seemed! Oh, and I have another niece and nephew who are on my list; Jessica's youngest two. We are waiting for just the right kittens to be born in our cattery for Zach and Stella.

Once we had Unni, Sylvi and Ahsoka nearing breeding age we knew it was time to add a male to complete our program. Working with Norsejenta Cattery our search migrated to Europe. I was looking for a substantial quality male with a strong foundation pedigree along with new lines to bring into the US. My search ended in Riga, Latvia with Cattery Kentervils. Lilita had a gorgeous young male who was 9 months old. She had shown him and he has a pedigree full of World and International Champions. I instantly fell in love with him! Lilita and I communicated via Google Translate for weeks and I finally made the decision to fly to Riga to bring Rio home.

My husband and I flew to Riga in November of 2022. We spent 2 short days there and spent one of those days at the ZooExpo in Riga for a cat show. The show was amazing and to our excitement, Rio was nominated for Best-in-Show for all breed kittens! If this was not exciting enough, he took 1st Best-In-Show all breed kitten. He finished his International Jr. Championship that day! Needless to say, Boyd and I came home excited and proud of our new boy!

Rio is Boyd's cat and Boyd has stated more than once how much he has bonded with Rio! He's hooked and is now a cat person; well atleast a Rio person! Boyd has even built Rio (and the girls) a wonderful catio!

In just a few months in the US, Rio earned his TICA Supreme Grand Champion and CFA Champion titles. He is a great traveler, enjoys the shows and is quick to entertain the audience.

With three beautiful Norsejenta bred females and our Latvian Prince from Cattery Kentervils the foundation to our breeding program was set. Our first litter of 4 kittens was delivered in February of 2023; three red tabby boys and a brown/black tabby female. What an exciting mornng that was! It did not take long to find them the perfect familys and so the ForestSpots family was born!

Being a responsible breeder is so much more than having a boy and a girl and babies! We strive to keep our lines diverse and after importing Rio we decided to look for some girls to import.

Boyd and I traveled to Poland in September 2023 to bring home to young girls for the future of our program. Aura Forest VIPs*PL/FI and Arya Forest VIPs*PL/FI, sisters and littermates, drew my attention right away with their amazing tabby coat patters. I just could not help myself! Anna Niewiarowska of Forest VIPs in Siedlce, Poland trusted us enough to let us adopt both of these beautiful girls! We definitely planned this trip better and stayed for nearly two full weeks!

We do plan to continue to bring new lines into the US as our cattery grows; but our next trip will have to wait a few years! Each cat in our program is a house cat first and foremost!
